When a grandmother Sharon Weiss from Georgia USA cooking a store bought Marie Callender pumpkin pie in her oven, she had no idea she was about to become an internet sensation and have countless memes made about her and a pumpkin pie.
Sharon left her pie in the oven for far too long and almost incinerated it. That is when the madness. hilarity and fame began.
Sharon thought that it would be a good idea to complain on the Marie Callender Facebook page by posting a photo of her pie and commenting how the company's pie had ruined her Thanksgiving.
"Thanks Marie Calendar for ruining Thanksgiving dessert."
Because the pie in the photo was torched so badly, the internet found this whole scenario hilarious and the memes started circulating.

Why and how did this happen? Well there was some confusion about the temperature setting on her oven.
Sharon was quoted saying "Somehow, some way, the baking temperature had been changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius," . "The result was that when I set the temperature to 375, it was actually closer to 700 degrees Fahrenheit." (707, to be exact.)
Let this be a lesson for us all. Ensure you are using the correct Fahrenheit or Celsius setting on your oven before baking your treats.
