The annual downhill bike race known as the "Mountain Of Hell" is not for the faint hearted!
The 25km race is held at the Les 2 Alpes in France. Hundreds of riders race downhill on an unmarked route from the top of the glacier. passing through several posts and travelling over snow, rocks, single tracks, steps, and icy downhills.
The drop in altitude is nearly 2,400 vertical metres and crashes are extremely likely as you can see in the video below!
You will be pleased to hear that in the above video of absolute carnage, nobody died. No doubt there was multiple bumps and bruises though.
We hold the view that this may be an event that is better to be a spectator than a competitor for health and safety reasons.

Chance1957 Looks like a good way to upgrade your bike. Show up with a junker, when the big wreck happens, pick out the best bike and head on down the hill. in time The way the fall just moved up and up the hill. Just brilliant.That’s art.
