Wrinkle the duck is not your average duck, he is a marathon running athlete as well!
Wrinkle took to the streets in November 2021 and joined in the Boston Marathon! It is extremely impressive to think that an animal with such tiny legs could run so well but Wrinkle the duck was up to the task. Whilst quacking and waddling down the road at a decent speed, Wrinkle was footing it with all the human runners!
“Wrinkle the duck is more than just a beautiful Pekin duck,” the owners, New York artists Justin Wood and Joyce Kung,. "She is a full-grown adult human child. She is fast. She is speed. She is zoom. She is Wrinkle. Still fast as duck boiiii.”
Wrinkles owners took her down to watch some of the marathon.
"She saw everyone running and she wanted to join in so we just hopped in there for a little bit and ran with them."
Wrinkle is a social media icon with her own Tik Tok and Instagram accounts, but marathon participation has stepped up her fame to a whole new level, Joyce says. Wrinkle currently has over half a million Instagram followers!
