Angry man riding on bonnet

A 62 year old Victorian motorcyclist named John Turner took road rage to a level usually reserved for cartoon characters. He ended up riding on the bonnet of a stranger’s car all the way to a police station. Yes, that was his actual route choice.

According to dashcam video, Turner said the driver cut him off. His response was to overtake the car, slam on the brakes, climb onto the bonnet and then steal a wiper blade like he was collecting trophies. The driver, clearly done with the nonsense, simply continued driving straight to the nearest police station with Turner still hanging on like a very angry hood ornament.

Turner stayed on through a red light and only hopped off once they arrived. He then walked inside to complain, which is the confidence level most people can only dream of. He later told reporters he has a short fuse on the bike because he feels vulnerable without protection.

In court he pleaded guilty to five charges. The result was a twelve month community order, one hundred hours of unpaid work and an eight month driving ban. Not exactly the victory lap he might have imagined.
