Seal Enters New Zealand Home, Cat Bolts
A seal in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand has strayed a little wayward from the ocean and found himself inside a local beachside house.
The house it entered belongs to marine biologist Phil Ross who was unfortunately the only member of the family not at home at the time.
He was quoted telling the BBC "The big joke is that this is probably the one family emergency where it would be useful to have a marine biologist, and I wasn't there."
It is believed that the seal probably saw the cat go through the cat door and followed it into the house.
The cat wasn't too happy about this seal visit and took refuge in the neighbours house while the happy seal occupied the Ross home.
Eventually the Department Of Conservation came and collected the seal and it was returned to its natural habitat.
